Orthokeratology lenses — now in ArtLife!

20.01.2017

We are happy to inform you that from now on you a new method of vision correction is available in our clinic – orthokeratology, also called ortho-correction or corneal refractive therapy (CRT).

Ortho-correction is a non-invasive and totally reversible method of correcting myopia and small astigmatism which has been used worldwide for many years. The therapy includes wearing special, overnight contact lenses which reshape the cornea.

Orthokeratology is a perfect solution for those, who do not want to wear glasses and, at the same time, cannot undergo a Laser Vision Correction. It is highly recommended for people whose job or hobby prevents them from wearing glasses (this includes those passionate about various extreme sports or working in uniformed services).

What is more, ortho-correction is widely used for what is called myopia control, which is aimed at inhibiting the progression of

nearsightedness in children and young people. It is considered to be one of the most effective ways to stop the progression of myopia. If you would like to know more about myopia control in children and you people, we recommend visiting the Myopia Care webpage https://www.myopiacare.org Furthermore, if you wonder who to stop the progression of your child’s myopia we would like to invite you for a consultation.

More about orthokeratology in ‘Specialist contact lenses, ortho-correction’.
